Cecil C. Ellis passed away January 24, 2025, at his residence in St. Amant, LA at the age of 79. He was born on December 29, 1945, in Satsuma, LA.
Cecil is survived by his children, Veronica Lawson (Allan), Dessie Kressman (Kenneth), Robert Ellis (Tonya), and Aaron Ellis; grandchildren, Ashton, Robbie, Cameron, and Caleb; great-grandchildren, Rossi, Benjamin, and Caselyn; and sisters, Sharon James, Mary Kearce, and Connie Chapman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Ann Andrews and Joseph Walter Ellis; granddaughter, Erica Ledger; siblings, Jimmy, Leona, Clarence, Betty, Curtis, and Deannie.
Visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2025, at Ascension Funeral Home in Gonzales, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, from 11:00am until the funeral service at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
