BROUSSARD, CECIL RAY

 

Died 12:25a.m. Friday, June 23, 2023, at Landmark South Nursing and Rehab Center, Baton Rouge. He was a native of Prairieville.

Visitation at Ascension Funeral Home, Gonzales, Sunday, June 25 from 5p.m. until 9:00p.m. and Monday from 8:00a.m. till the service starts at 10:00a.m., conducted by Pastor Daniel Hoover. Burial in Hope Haven Cemetery, Hwy 30, Gonzales.

Survived by his wife of 76 years, Mary Isabell Broussard; three daughters, Ruby (Daniel) Gautreau, Jan Hebert, Diane (Mike) Altazin; a daughter-in-law Mary Ann Broussard; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grand-children, 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous other relatives and friends.

 Preceded in death by a son, Richard; parents, John, and Hester Denham Broussard; 9 siblings, Hilda, Alberta, Opal, Cully, Thelma, Gladys, Sanford, Mable, Levern.

 He was a WWII Navy veteran, retired from Allied Chemical, and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
