Bruce is predeceased by his father, Denis Simon, Jr., mother, Yvonne Oulliber Simon and brother, Michael "Mickey" Simon. The family would like to thank his lifelong caregivers and, most recently, the doctors and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Bruce's life on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at 2:00 pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine, celebrated by Fr. Greg Daigle. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McMains Children's Development Center, 1805 College Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808, to help handicapped and underprivileged individuals.
