Bobby Bratcher

Bobby Wayne Bratcher Bob, 82, of Panama City Beach, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Gulf Coast Community Hospital. Bob was born on August 17, 1930 in Nocona, Texas and lived in Bay County, Florida since 1992. He had served as President of the Venture Out Homeowners Association and was looking forward to beginning a new term on the board on August 17, 2013. Prior to retiring to Bay County, Bob and his wife, Gerry, lived in Gonzales, Louisiana for 24 years and Amarillo, Texas for 14 years while he worked for Texaco, Incorporated. Bob and Gerry spent many years traveling in their RV and thoroughly enjoyed meeting people in all parts of the country. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Gerry who died on August 12, 2012 his son, Douglas Wayne Bratcher his parents, Wilton and Hattie Bratcher two brothers, Ken Bratcher and Bill Bratcher and sisterinlaw, Von Bratcher. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Rainey and husband, James, of Picayune, MS his son, David Bratcher and wife, Marie, of Richmond, MO his grandchildren: Tony Cagnolatti and wife Jessie Amy Cagnolatti Bishop and her husband Ben and Laura Bratcher Esfeller and husband, Patrick four great grandchildren: Evan Bishop, Kaylei Esfeller, Emmi Esfeller, and Gracie Esfeller his sistersinlaw Maryann Johnson and husband, Ron and Jeane Bratcher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob will also be greatly missed by countless friends throughout the country. A Memorial Service was held at Venture Out in Panama City Beach, FL on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Henry Hazard officiating. Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 11 AM 1 PM with service beginning at 1:00 PM. The Reverend Larry Pickering will officiate. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Gonzales. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Gulf Coast Community Hospital and Dr. Ahmad for the loving care and support during Bobs brief hospitalization and death.
