Betty Blount

A resident of Prairieville, she died Tuesday Sept. 27,2011, at Flannery Oaks Guest House. She was 72 and a native of Denham Springs. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, La , on Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 11 a.m. until chapel service at 1 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Ken Blundell. Interment in Blount Cemetery, Satsuma. Survived by daughter, Pamela Melker Glenmeyer and husband Phillip son, Mike Blount and wife Diane brother, Sonny Chandler and wife Jan four grandchildren, Ashley Weaver and husband Kerry, Kevin Blount, April Kearce and husband Scott, and Kristin Melker and husband Chris Myers four greatgrandchildren, Taylor, Destiny, Ashlynn, and Brayden.
