Berlin "Danny" Melancon

Danny “Berlin” Melancon, Jr. passed away at 1:57AM Monday, December 28, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a native of Gonzales, LA and a resident of Maurepas, LA. He was 64 years old and retired from the Ascension Parish School System. He loved boat riding, playing music, cooking, dancing, and having fun.

Visiting will be at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St. in Gonzales on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 9AM until service at 1PM conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Burial in Hope Haven Garden of Memory.

Danny is survived by his wife, Dana Reine Melancon; children, Derek (Niki) Melancon, Nicole (Jim) Boyle; step-children, Randy (Ginger) Graham, Danny (Kate) Graham, Candy (Mike) Yglesias, Megan Reine, Carson Guillot; grandchildren, Megan and Preston Melancon, James and Carter Boyle, Tyler and Kylie Yglesias, Jordan, Chloe and Easton Graham, Isabelle Graham and Gage Hill; step-dad, Donald Lambert; brothers, Rickey (Lisa) Melancon, Troy “Tub” Melancon, Michael (Dawn) Melancon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Sharon Bedgood.

He is preceded in death by his late wife, Vicki Melancon; mother, Jeannette Lambert; father, Berlin Melancon, Sr.; a brother, Carey Melancon; and a half-sister Angela Melancon Johnston.
