Bentley J. "B J" Rheams Jr., age 78, passed away at his home in Gonzales, LA on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 7:18 a.m. He was a native of Ascension Parish and retired from DEMCO Electric. Graveside service on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Prairieville, LA at 10:00 a.m. Survived by his wife, Joyce V. Rheams; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael J. and Carolyn Rheams, Dale J. and Rebecca Rheams, and Bentley J. III and Ambre Rheams; three sisters, Lois, Estelle, and Louise; seven grandchildren, Tasha Allen, Tiffany Rheams, John Rheams, Kevin Rheams, Brianne Rheams, Tyler Rheams, and Ethan Rheams; and seven great grandchildren, Camden, Victoria, Daelen, John, Jr., Hunter, Ella, and Olivia. Preceded in death by his parents, Bentley and Sarah Rheams; two brothers, A. J. and wife, Bonnie, and Gerald; and two sisters, Ida Mae and Gloria. Ascension Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
