SEXTON, BARRY

A resident of Prairieville, he died on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 26. Visitation will be held at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales, on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 beginning at 5pm. Memorial services will be conducted by Pastor Michael Elmore at 6pm in the funeral home chapel with cremation to follow. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Sexton, sister, Christina Smith and fianc, Jason Little, nieces; Brandie and Destinie Smith, nephew, Sean Smith, one uncle, Tom Atkinson and wife Rhonda, two aunts; Annette Mackey and husband John and Carolyn Tiger and husband Phillip, grandmother, Shirley Atkinson. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Ralph Atkinson. He was a Tang So Do 1st degree black belt and a former national title holder in the sport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center, 5 west, 5000 Hennessey Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70808.
