Barbara J. Neal, age 70, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 6:34 p.m. at Lane Memorial Regional Medical Center, Zachary, LA. A resident of Baker, LA and native of Dutchtown, LA. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visiting resumes on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until service at 12:00 noon, conducted by Pastor Keith Cox. Interment at Louisiana National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Survived by her husband, Barney J. Neal; stepfather, Freddie Berteau; two daughters, Kristel Duncan Hawkins and fiancé, Dennis Mannino and Kelly Neal Pittman and husband, Jeremy; two sons, Edward W. Duncan and wife, Celeste and Barney J. Neal Jr.; sister, Pamela Myers and husband, David; and eleven grandchildren, McKenzie Hawkins, Sydnee Hawkins, James Edward Loy, Erin Pittman, Taylor Pittman, Connor Neal, Aidan Smith, Tyler Mannino, Peyton Mannino, Jayson Freemyer and Sebastian Gomez.
