Barbara Lee

Barbara Marlene Millet Lee passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on July 23, 2015, at 5:16 p.m., after a long hard fought battle of dementia. She was 79 years old and retired from Baton Rouge City Court, but her most important job was being a mother and grandmother. She was a native of Morganza, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was a strong, wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and wife. She loved and lived for her family and especially her grandchildren who were all known as "her angels." Now as she ends her journey on this earth and begins her everlasting life, she has become their angel. Visiting will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, on Monday, July 27, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Matthew McCaughey. Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cherie Lee and Mark Pourciau and Maria Lee and Mark Landry; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert John Jr. and Lorinda "Lynne" Lee and Kelly P. and Lele Lee; three sisters, Meredith "Tuttie" Breaux, Lorraine Harris, and Bernice Maggio; her eight angels, Stephen Pourciau, Chris Pourciau, Robby Pourciau, Alyssa Landry, Beau Landry, Jesika Lee, Savannah Lee and Gracie Lee; one great grandson, Anthony Pourciau; and one grandson on the way, Westley Pourciau. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. "Bobby" Lee; her parents, Ferdinand and Mathilde Millet; brothers, Edward and Gerald Millet; and sisters, Evelyn Dayries and Doris Barbier. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She was a devout catholic, enjoyed cooking and loved to be around her family more than anything else. She will be dearly missed by all.
