Arlyne Ruth Bordelon, a native of Eunice, Louisiana and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, was born on October 10, 1950, and passed away on August 18, 2021, at the age of 70.
Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home 426 W. New River St. Gonzales on Thursday August 26, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Deacon Randy Clement, burial in Serenity Oaks Memorial Park in Prairieville, LA.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Joseph “Butch” Martin Bordelon and her four children, Melissa Bordelon, Raquel Graham, Natasha Bordelon, and Joseph “Jody” Bordelon (Amy Watson). She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren, Natalie Magee (Chris), Lauren Lavigne, Jeffery Gautreau, Haley Gautreau, Slade Griffin, Kaleb Bordelon, Heidi Delaune, Abbie Graham, Mya Watson, Eve Watson, Joseph “JoJo” Bordelon, Eian Bordelon, and Rowan Bordelon. In addition, she is survived by her seven great grandchildren Effie Corley, Finnley Weber, Kellen Jackson, Violet Stride, Burke Magee, Eden Jackson, and Smith Magee. Arlyne is also survived by her three brothers, Francis “Tiny” Lomas, Anthony “Tony” Lomas, Mike Deriso; her two sisters Anita Young (Harold) and Betty Trahan (Kenny); and a host of beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Pearl Fontenot and brothers, Charles Lomas and Johnny Lomas.
Arlyne, Momma, Granny, Sista will be remembered for the love and devotion she had not only for her family and friends, but for everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Arlyne’s favorite past time was loving on all of her sweet babies and spending time with her family and friends. She was also known for her love to go “Junkin”. She was one of a kind and held such a special place in so many lives. There are no words to describe how wonderful she was.
