Arlean Jones

Arlean Andrew Jones, age 71, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at 4:15 p.m., at her residence at Carrington Place in Baton Rouge. A resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Jackson, MS. She was a former school bus driver and cafeteria worker for the Hines County School System in Jackson, MS. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, from 9:00 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Jamyle Phillips of Changing A Generation FGBC. Repast at Darrow Community Center, 37117 Martin Luther King St, Darrow, LA. Private burial on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Hope Haven Garden of Memory. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and Bernell Griffin Sr.; two sons and daughter-in-law, L. T. and Angela Thompson, and Jimmie E. Thompson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe Jones. She was a member of Victory Bible Church in Jackson, MS.
