Alvin Myers

A retired State of Louisiana Employee and resident and native of Acy, he died on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center on Bluebonnet. He was 81. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 West New River St., Gonzales on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 beginning at 11am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2pm. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. He is survived by a friend, Gary Krammer, sister, Ruth Nell Myers Bourgeois, one nephew, Dean Paul Bourgeois, and his wife Verna T. Bourgeois, one niece Sheila Ann Bourgeois and Malcolm Lee, five great nephews; Donald Glenn Elkins, Ronald Clement Elkins, Thomas Paul Bourgeois, Steven Clement Bourgeois, Christopher Lynn Bourgeois.
