Alvin John Braud passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022. He was born on December 3, 1951. He is survived by his wife Nancy Braud; his daughters, Kristina, husband Travis Thibodeaux, Tara, husband Brandon Landry; five grandchildren, Anderson, Dylan, and Darcy Thibodeaux, Alexander and Lilith Landry; best mother-in-law ever Creola Jones; sister Lydia, husband George Gutierrez; brother Warren Braud; nieces Karly Gutierrez, Amanda Mason, husband Jeremy; nephews Joseph Gutierrez, wife Roslyn, Prent Davis; grand-nephews Logan Byrd, Eaen and Trey Mason; grand-nieces Tristan and Riley Page. Preceded in death by parents Clotilde and Nicholas Braud and niece Amy Byrd. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, LA. The funeral service will be Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 Hwy 73, Prairieville, LA at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park.
