Allie J. Lavigne, Sr. resident and native of Gonzales, LA passed away at
10:25 am on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the age of 94. He was a retired
pipefitter for Ethyl Corp. and served in the Army during WWII. Visiting on
Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at St. Mark Catholic Church with rosary at 9:00 am.
And visiting afterwards until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am conducted
by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Intombment will follow at Hope Haven
Garden of Memory. Survived by 5 sons and six daughtersin law: Byron J.
and Judith Lavigne, John Ed and Mildred Mimi Lavigne, Allie J. Hubby
and Sharon Lavigne, Samuel J. and Cynthia Lavigne, Perry M. and Monica
Lavigne and Carol Ann Lavigne. 3 sisters: Agnes All, Ethel Andrews and
Mary Ann Carbo. 20 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 2 great great
grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife: Valois E. Lavigne. Parents: Robert
and Noemie Lavigne. Son: Fred Bruce Charles Lavigne. 3 brothers: Paul,
Welman and Joseph Lavigne.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. He was a long time member of St. Mark
Catholic Church and the VFW. We would like to thank Generations Hospice and sitters Linda Sicard and Jessica Salsman for their wonderful care.
