Adele Himel

Passed away at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge at 11:15 a.m. On Tuesday, June 25, 2013. She was a resident of St. Claire Manor in Baton Rouge. Born at Belle Hellene Plantation on July 7, 1904. She was a 108 years old. Visiting on Monday, July 1, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Highway 73 in Prairieville from 11 am. Until mass of Christian burial at 11 am., celebrated by Rev. Eric Gyan. Burial in Prairieville Community Cemetery. She is survived by three daughters, Byrdie Doiron, Lonie Marchand, and Evelyn Himel one son, Kenneth Himel and wife Jane: 13 grandchildren: numerous great grandchildren several great great grandchildren and several great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Whitney Himel daughter, Dorothy Malik and several grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church.
