Ada Doss

A friend of a friend, she died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Ascension Oaks, Gonzales. She was 95, a resident of Gonzales and a native of Big Sandy, Tenn. Visiting at Ascension Funeral Home, 426 W. New River St., Gonzales, on Wednesday, Dec. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home chapel Thursday, Dec. 30, from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Warren and the Rev. Larry Dudley. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales. She is survived by two sisters, Lovie Longcor and Thelma Sanders six nephews, Raymond Warner, Jerry Sanders, Bobby Sanders, Tommy Sanders, Eugene Sanders and Jackie Sanders and four nieces, Sue Enochs, Barbara Sanders, Vickie Sanders and Jeana Sanders. Preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Doss parents, Edgar and Flora Rushing two brothers and a sister. Pallbearers will be David Cambron, William Robertson, George Peterson, Jim Freeman, Albert Landry and Kenneth Furlow. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.
