Wanda Joan Jeter, 80, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010. There will be a memorial service at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1:00pm. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William Ballard Jeter. She is survived by one brother, Jack and one sister, Eunice; sons; William Jeter and wife Loretta, Mark Jeter and wife Ruth; daughters, Monica Carter and husband Bill, Marie Russell, Mary Jeter and fiancé Fred Lehman. Wanda has eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Wanda was born in Oakdale, Louisiana, grew up in Shreveport, and spent most of her life in Baton Rouge. She did volunteer work at the hospital and school and worked in retail most of her life. She loved her cats and dog, Deter. She enjoyed playing bridge, flowers and books. There will be a private family interment.
