Anna Mae Blouin, age 90, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2017, at 11:35 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales, LA. A resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Ascension Parish. Visiting at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Rev. Eric V. Gyan. Burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales, LA. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine B. and Wickliff J. Mayers; two grandchildren, Dwayne E. Mayers and wife, Martha, and Tate P. Mayers and wife, Angela; and three great grandchildren, Cole Mayers, Braylee Mayers, and Gage Mayers. Preceded in death by her husband, Dudley J. Blouin; parents, Forrest and Madelaine Braud; three sisters, Una “Tiny” Braud Bercegeay, Rita Braud Weurfel, and Myrtle Braud Arceneaux; and a brother, Murphy A. Braud. Pallbearers are Dwayne Mayers, Tate Mayers, Cole Mayers, Tony Arceneaux, Al Tallion, and Kent Braud. She was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church. Family would like to thank Gonzales Healthcare Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital for the care they gave to our mother. Please visit the online guestbook.

    I am so sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort described in 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 provide comfort for your family. Losing a loved one in death is never easy, but the Bible reassures us in Isaiah 25:8 that soon death will be no more. What a wonderful time that will be for all of us.
